Dr. Amy Lee, Ed.D.

MWTEC President

Dr. Amy Lee has over 15 years of experience teaching in higher education. She has a doctorate degree in curriculum design and instruction and has a passion for strategically designing collaborative programs that meet the needs of Michigan’s workforce. Dr. Lee has led the EPiC Consortium, formally known as MiRIS, since its launch in 2011. As President of MWTEC, through the partnerships and support of Michigan Community Colleges, State leaders, and other Workforce stakeholders, Dr. Lee will continue to support the autonomy that Michigan institutions hold dear, while forging collaboration across the State of Michigan to ensure all areas of the state have access to high quality education and training.

Paul Kirk

Chief Executive Officer for Strategic Partnerships

Paul Kirk is an accomplished workforce, housing, and economic development leader with over two decades of experience securing multimillion-dollar funding, building strategic partnerships, and leading transformative community initiatives across Michigan and beyond. A seasoned executive and entrepreneur, Paul has successfully bridged the public, private, and philanthropic sectors to drive measurable impact. A graduate of Bethel College, where he earned a B.A. with core studies in Non-Profit Organizational Management, Paul brings a disciplined, systems-based approach to leadership and collaboration. As Vice President of Workforce at Kinexus Group, and architect of the Career Academy he and his team secured more than $18 million in new federal, state, and private funding. Paul’s leadership extends nationally and internationally, having convened state departments, congressional offices, and industry associations to align workforce development with housing and infrastructure investments. A visionary strategist, Paul is dedicated to building systems that create opportunity for all—linking workforce readiness, affordable housing, and economic growth into one cohesive ecosystem.

Mac Dodds

Executive Director of Workforce Innovation & Industry Collaboratives

Mac Dodds is a workforce development leader with over seven years of experience building industry partnerships and managing workforce funding. A Michigan State University graduate, he has led key initiatives to strengthen Michigan’s talent pipeline. At West Michigan Works!, he founded the Construction Careers Council and managed $4.7M in workforce grants, supporting employer training programs. At the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity, he led the $10M EV Jobs Academy, worked with federal and state leaders to launch Michigan's EV Workforce Hub. Mac is dedicated to creating strong, diverse workforce solutions that drive economic growth.

Jaida Boggerty

Executive Director of Collaborative Programs

Jaida joined the team in September of 2023. She previously attended Kellogg Community College and earned a B.S in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from Western Michigan University. She is currently attending Michigan State University College of Human Medicine for her masters degree in Public Health. Jaida acts as the Executive Director of Collaborative Programs. She has a passion for helping the community through collaborative solutions and community outreach.

Matthew Blakeslee

Executive Director of Infrastucture

Matthew joined MWTEC in August of 2023 to advise the collaborative on IT matters, with the primary aim of helping to align existing technical systems with the goals of accessibility and opportunity that MWTEC champions. He holds an AAS in Cybersecurity from Washtenaw Community College, and a BS in Technology Management from Eastern Michigan University. He is continuing his education at EMU in pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Technology Management. Matthew is excited to contribute to talent development efforts in Michigan and is proud to be collaborating with a wide range of partners.

Liz Fluty

Director of Nursing & Credential Initiatives

Liz Fluty brings over three decades of nursing and nursing education expertise to her role as Director of Nursing and Credential Initiatives at MWTEC. With deep commitment to excellence in healthcare education, she creates inclusive learning environments that foster innovation and quality in nursing programs. Liz played a key role in developing an apprenticeship certified nurse aide (CNA) to licensed practical nurse (LPN) program within the Community College Educational Programs in Collaboration (EPiC) consortium, collaborating with leading experts in the field. She oversees continuing education (CE) development and accreditation for nursing and healthcare professions, ensuring that the highest standards are met. Liz serves as a member of the Michigan Board of Nursing, representing nursing education within licensed practical nurse programs.

Brooke Mainstone

Executive Assistant

Brooke Mainstone attended Kellogg Community College and is a former student of the EPiC Consortium, where she completed the Electroencephalography (EEG) program. She earned an Associate Degree in Neurodiagnostic Technology and also completed additional training through the consortium’s anesthesiology technician program. Brooke brings a combination of clinical experience and operational expertise to her role, including prior work as a Certified Nurse Aide and experience in nonprofit administration. She currently serves as the EEG Lab and Clinical Coordinator, where she supports student training, clinical coordination, and program operations, contributing to the continued growth and success of the EPiC Consortium.

Nicholas Mix

Infrastructure Support and Services Technician

Nicholas joined MWTEC as an intern in July of 2023 and began working full-time as an Infrastructure Support and Services Technician in September of 2025. In this role, he supports course infrastructure by uploading and maintaining classes, ensuring learning environments are properly configured and accessible. He is currently working toward his Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at Southern New Hampshire University. He is excited to continue developing his technical skills while contributing to MWTEC’s mission of expanding educational access and opportunity.
